Before I begin I should probably start with my phobia of waxing. Roughly 10 years ago I was subjected to what can only be called brutality in the
back of nail shop, which claimed to do waxing. The trauma I experienced and the woman screaming at me to be quiet still haunts me today.

So when I was told that I was going for beauty treatments with Browhaus and Ministry of waxing, as I had a wedding to attend, I completely overlooked the possibility that I would be booked in for a wax. Turning up at Ministry of waxing was a bit traumatic, as I was informed that I was booked in for a bikini and eyebrow wax (the panic then set in). I half wanted to walk out and took a few minutes to get myself together as this was a treat for me to relax.
On meeting my beautician Lisa I was instantly put to ease, she explained to me how the wax they use is organic, and is specifically used to reduce irritation and what I would later find out pain too. I explained to her my traumatic experience and instead of laughing at me, she took things easy and explained that we can stop at any point. Yes I sound like a drama queen but I was pretty freaked out.

Now onto the wax, I was pleasantly surprised that the wax was not boiling hot and the pain was manageable. The surroundings were so clean and calming I was able to relax for the first time in weeks. My eyebrows were shaped to perfection, and Lisa did not do what technicians normally do and wax regardless of looking at the state of my eyebrows. She advised me that I would need to allow certain areas of my eyebrows to fill in as they were thinning, which was reassuring as this was a concern of mine and without any prompting, she gave me the best advice. The bikini wax was awesome! I left as smooth as a baby’s bottom, and was really happy with the results.
