One of Kingston Jamaica’s supreme coconut rums Koko Kanu, named in honour of Jamaica’s Arawak Indians, invites Londoners and jetsetters alike to their new baby – the ‘Frequent Flyers Cocktail Club’ this July. Six globally-inspired bar destinations have been selected to take cocktail-loving travel enthusiasts on a cocktail clubbing journey and let’s face it sometimes we could do with a little escape can’t we? I know I can. It’s only Monday and I’m up for going out this evening already!

From Shanghai’s speakeasy Opium bar in Chinatown to the intimate lounge bar Trailer Happiness in Notting Hill, guests are invited to show off past holiday adventures in photo form. By sharing their holiday snaps at any of the six bars, guests can unlock a ticket to the cocktail club entitling them to a Koko Kanu passport and a map giving them two complimentary drinks. These include a Koko Kanu rum-based bespoke cocktail created by each of the bars’ mixology teams, and the signature Koko Kolada and Koko Daiquiri. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me!

Russell Burgess, Koko Kanu’s Rum Ambassador, said: “This summer we are taking guests back to an era of rustic elegance and lustful adventure with Koko Kanu’s cocktail journey. At each bar, we’ll be unveiling new coconut-twists on classic cocktails, that will transport guests to sunnier climes”

Visitors can also collect stamps in their Koko Kanu passport at each bar stop, receiving yet another free drink on their third stamp, and those who complete the trail will be in with the chance of winning prizes worthy of a jet-setter. To enter, travellers must post a picture of their completed passport on their social media channels, using #addsomeadventure and tagging @KokoKanu_UK.

We’ll be heading down to Opium bar in Chinatown Wednesday evening to celebrate the launch of Koko Kanu’s “Frequent Flyers Cocktail Club”, where they’ll be cocktails and a masterclass hosted by rum ambassador Russell Burgess. Add some adventure to your busy week and grab yourself a ticket to this new cocktail clubbing journey. You only live once.
