Yoruba Festival: Review

A Nigerian dish of peppered lamb called Suya

Ekaabo. Anambra state. Lagos. All in London.
The Yoruba festival based in Clissold park made me even more proud to be a Nigerian. Walking in, I was welcomed by sweet and live Yoruba music
Food stalls freshly prepared Nigerian dishes such as suya, from as little as £2.50. The weather was beautiful, sunny, and to my surprise, many people viewing and enjoying the festival were from a variety of cultures, heritage and ethnicities. It was lovely!
The live performances commanded everyone to have a taste of “naija” and copy moves such as the kukere.
The 2 day weekend festival was another brilliant occasion to appreciate the cultures appreciated in the heart of London
