100 Wardour Juke Box Brunch Review

On 9th March 2019, OnIn.London ventured back to 100 Wardour Street to sample their new Juke Box Brunch. What a day! It’s already a popular spot to drink, dine and dance the night away, so it’s no surprise that we had a great time.

We were quickly shown to our seats, but had to wait a little while for our first drinks. This was my friend’s first bottomless brunch, and having talked them up… I wanted to ensure she had a good time.

Thankfully despite service being a little slow to begin with, it improved greatly. To the restaurants credit, they did have a large number of group bookings so we can’t blame them too much. They certainly made up for the wait on food by quickly refilling our glasses with bottomless fizz.

For starters we both had the Buttermilk Fried chicken, sriracha dip, coriander and lime. Melt in the mouth, moreish chicken that had us wishing we could order this as a main.

We both chose fish for our mains. Myself, the to die for Honey Chipotle glazed Salmon with Bok choy, chilli and king oyster and balsamic vinegar. Seriously with each bite, I was more in awe. The new chef and menu is a phenomenal. I was one happy girl.

My friend loved her Roasted Cod Loin with baby new potatoes, broad beans, peas and smoked pancetta bacon. It was probably the only time we stopped talking the entire meal.

By the time dessert came, we had to move on to the couches, but they staff left us some Prosecco to finish off the meal. In terms of desserts, we both had different tastes. My friend the classic selection of British cheeses, quince, grapes, crackers. She was still talking about it the next day. I of course went for the decadent Chocolate lava cake with roasted banana ice-cream. It certainly didn’t disappoint.

The band kept us entertained throughout the day and it was fun to listen to them serenade guests with their chosen songs. It had us in the mood to continue the party elsewhere. Though we did have the option to stay and spend the day listing to the Djs after the band finished playing.

The next couple of weeks expect

  • Sat 16th & 23rd March ‘Barberpop’ – featuring big party hits performed unplugged by the band with their beatboxing skills and acoustic guitars
  • Sat 30th March – ‘Acoustik’
