A guide to St Johns High Street

St Johns high street is mostly visited by locals, but it’s a little hidden gem that we wanted to highlight on On In London. You will find some traditional stores, independents and one which we found to be pretty dam cool… That being The Face Gym!

SPACE NK

Beauty lovers, you’ll be happy to know the beauty emporium that is known as SPACE NK, is on the high street offering classic beauty and skincare products like NARS, Laura Mercier and Caudalie along with some of the latest products to hit London from other countries across the world, rightfully making a name for themselves in the big smoke. One of the brands we were introduced to was Drunk Elephant, containing virgin marula oil.

FACE GYM

The face gym is all about looking after our faces, from the inside out. Its a gym for your face, focusing on the 40+ muscles from the neck up. The facial exercise increases the blood circulation, along with toning and releasing tension in the face. Who needs botox ay? They also have a make-up bar, where you can get a make-over, where you can choose from either a nice classic look or something a little more glamorous for an evening look.

LORDS AT HOME

Looking for something quirky for your home? then head on over to Lords at Home. Offering a range of homeware and gifts. Its the type of place where you can pick up some washing up gloves along with an achingly stylish water bottle. Its also a great place to pick up a gift or two…

THE IVY

No shopping trip in St Johns Wood, should end without a visit to The Ivy, this stylish and modern restaurant offers a menu to cater for all occasions, and recently they launched the Bloody Mary trolley. Where guests will be presented with a trolley filled with delicious ingredients and garnishes required to make the perfect cocktail. This spells Messy, but we LOVE IT! The Ivy is also known for their weekend brunch dishes, which include eggs benedict, warming hot buttermilk pancakes, miso-glazed chicken salad and a shrimp and avocado burger.

UNICO GELATO

This cute gelato, a family run business, originates from Bologna, Italy. Unico Gelato serves up a good range of gelatos, sweet treats which include cakes and pastries and hot food. We were pleasantly surprised to taste their vegan pistachio gelato, and cake and we can definitely report they were INCREDIBLE! We shall certainly be back to get more of their pistachio treats!
