CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY & INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH WITH THE NEW SPRING AFTERNOON TEA AT GREAT SCOTLAND YARD HOTEL, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH JO LOVES & VEUVE CLICQUOT
To celebrate Mother’s Day and International Women’s Month, the five star Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Westminster, has specially curated a new luxurious, multi sensory Spring Afternoon Tea in partnership with Jo Loves, Veuve Clicquot and Valrhrona available until 18th June 2025.
Taking place in The Parlour, International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day are celebrated in the new, extra special Spring Afternoon Tea, which pays homage to iconic women and celebrates women and their roles in society.
I visited last week to try this Afternoon Tea and it was simply great. I’m going to preface this by saying I had some dietary requirements that for some reason hadn’t been passed on before hand and despite this, the chef was able to ensure that I was able to be able to have the same experience as my friend.
Launching with Jo Loves, Veuve Clicquot and Valrhrona, the luxury afternoon tea explores the top notes from the Rose Collection, from the crisp elegance of White Rose & Lemon Leaves at an English tea party to the romantic Rose de Mai in France with Rose Petal 25. Rosé and Dates transports you to the Middle East desert, where rose water meets gourmand warmth and smoky wood, creating a rich, exotic scent.
Guests can spoil their mums on Mother’s Day with this indulgent, elevated experience, featuring a seasonal Spring menu with Asparagus and lemon quiche; Chicken coronation on brown bread; Smoked salmon, caviar and dill on white bread bread; Clarence Court Egg truffle mayo and chives on briochete and Caramelised Jerusalem artichoke and Montgomery cheddar Yorkshire Pudding. The latter being the best savoury offering on the menu.
A delectable assortment of sweet treats will be served, including Pistachio and Raspberry Éclair inspired by Jo Loves, Veuve Clicquot champagne cream and strawberry crunch, inspired by HRHQueen Elizabeth II and a Coconut and caramelised white chocolate tea cake inspired by Alice Diamond, the leader of history’s most glamorous and notorious all-female crime syndicate; The 40 Elephants. Freshly baked plain and white chocolate scones will also be served alongside Cornish clotted cream and raspberry and lemon jam plus premium teas by Jing. Mums will receive a special gift from Jo Loves on Mother’s Day.
Like I said before, I wasn’t able to eat some of these dishes so the chef prepared a couple of different things like cauliflower bites and white raspberry chocolate instead of the Pistachio and Raspberry Éclair inspired by Jo Loves with Veuve Clicquot champagne cream. As I wasn’t drinking either I was given a lovely sparkling tea which tasted divine.
We throughly enjoyed our lunch time Afternoon Tea and this is going down as one of my top 10 London Afternoon Teas to not be missed!
