Fashion District 2025 Festival Programme

The Fashion District Festival is set to take over East London’s Spitalfields for its highly anticipated third iteration from 3 – 8 June 2025. This six day celebration of sustainable fashion has four festival themes: SHOP, WATCH, MAKE and GROW. The festival is open to the public and free to attend.

The six-day festival will offer a celebration of sustainable, circular and regenerative fashion. This year the Fashion District Festival proudly partners with SXSW London, to support global pioneers and trailblazers in fashion technology and sustainability. Bringing together conscious shoppers and start up entrepreneurs, the festival centres around a sustainable pop-up shop, a live fashion performance showcase, upcycling workshops and fashion business panel events. 

The one-off fashion performance showcase on Tuesday 3rd June (8pm – 9pm)will feature an electrifying performance by Alexander Whitley Dance Company with the dancers styled by award-winning fashion stylist Kim Howells, and include designs from Dr Noki and Maximilian Raynor. 

At the pop up shop at 30A Spital Square, discover a variety of secondhand brands such as Alterist, and a series of events to learn how to give clothing a second life. For example, mending a pair of jeans as part of the ‘100 Jeans Challenge’  or get your sneakers professionally cleaned by Vamp. 

Spark creativity with upcycling, craft and customisation workshops for all ages. ‘Knit a bag out of two t-shirts’ with Geo Knits Slow (Thursday 5th June) or learn how to create your own biomaterials with Biodesign Collective and transform discarded household items into wearable pop accessories with Clara Chu (Friday 6th June). 

There will be a series of roundtables, talks, and workshops that delve into the ideas driving change within the industry – from extending garment life and reducing waste to creating regenerative systems and materials.
