The Lucky Goat Review

The Lucky Goat is the City’s newest competitive game spot and as it’s located half way between Bank and St Pauls, it was the perfect spot to meet friends after work.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good meal out or a cocktail on a rooftop bar, but The Lucky Goat was the perfect place to play a few games and catch up with friends I hadn’t seen for a while.

There were plenty of games to choose from and we had half hour bookings of Air Hockey, Darts, Pool, Shuffleboard and Karaoke. All were really good fun and their team were on hand should we have had any problems. Unfortunately they cut off the end of our Karaoke session as we ran out of time, just as we were getting into Summer Nights from Grease, but that was probably for the best….

I also really enjoyed trying some of their lovely cocktails. My favourite was probably either the Hunchback Mule (Bison grass vodka, blueberry, apple, lime and ginger) or RamTang Spritz (lemon liqueur, bergamot, peach and prosecco), both of which are perfect for a hot sunny day.

As well as a menu of classic cocktails, wines, beers and soft drinks, The Lucky Goat also has a food menu of sandwiches on freshly baked flatbreads and sharers; perfect to nibble on between games. Between us, we shared the Oklahoma beef sliders and fries, the Chopped Cheese (essentially a Cheeseburger) and the Prawn Cocktail.
