Now if my wine isn’t sparkling, it’s a rosè wine that’s my go to. So when I was introduced to Pink Diesel’s beautiful magnums and gift box selection, you can be sure it went on my Christmas Wish List.
Pink Diesel was founded by British entrepreneurs, Amy Gatehouse and Marina Ayton. It’s made with a family run vineyard who cultivates the most beautiful grape varieties, in Bandol and Côtes de Provence appellations. The Pink Diesel rosé wine itself – is a perfect blend- specifically 35% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 30% Cinsault grape varieties, many of which are grown in Bandol but also surrounding communes in Provence. The winemakers and partners have leveraged knowledge of the ancient methods, but bring modern winemaking techniques into the mix to ensure the most environmental way to produce the delicious Pink Diesel.
Rosé’s are not just for summer and should definitely be on the menu all all year round. The night we drank it was a cold November evening as we sampled festive food to prepare for the upcoming season. We were impressed with how well the wine paired beautifully with our smoked salmon toasts and Turkey main course.
Overall my friend and I throughly enjoyed it and while sipping it was easy to forget we weren’t stuck at home in winter. The wine really did transport us to warmer climates! And what’s even better, the brand love sustainability. Pink Diesel has a goal to remain totally carbon neutral, by leveraging shipping partners that have the same objective. They also use recyclable materials and packaging, ensuring all glass bottles can be recycled and reused.
