Alpine Whisky Lodge launches at Flat Iron Square

The idea of alfresco eating and drinking during the winter may not sound very appealing and most of us would rather be retreating indoors waiting for summer to reemerge. But as the season changes, so do London venues, transforming themselves into winter wonderland pops up and ski lodges, enticing you out of hibernation.

With the recent opening of Flat Iron Alpine Whisky Lodge, blending the cosines of an alpine lodge with après ski vibe complete with fur-covered benches, Stag head wall mounts, wooden barrels with table lanterns and pyramid patio heaters creating a warming ambiance. Cold weather calls for whisky warmers so why not enjoy yours snuggled up in a cosy armchair whilst you munch on candied pecans and warm your well deserved and travelled cockles in such beautiful surroundings.

Guests can enjoy the soothing warmth of whisky based cocktails with an après ski twist such as the Maker’s Mark S’mores Old Fashioned served with a toasted marshmallow, the Laphroaig Penicillin, a smoked concoction featuring Laphroaig, lemon juice, honey and fresh ginger syrup, or a Highland Park Hot Apple Cider to take the chill away.

To get you in the festive mood, there will be a packed programme of seasonal activities taking place at the lodge including a wreath-making workshop and live acoustic jazz music every Wednesday. You can celebrate Thanksgiving with a cocktail and wax dipping master class with Makers Mark and if you pull on your novelty festive jumper, you’ll get 2-4-1 on the Highland Park Hot Apple Ciders on Christmas Jumper Day.

Away from the Alpine Whisky Lodge there is an abundance of activity intertwined between Flat Iron Squares alleys and archways. Explore the bars and international flavours from numerous food vendors or head to the Winter Ski Chalet, Apres for immersive games night or dancing. It’s a great place to chill out, explore and experience some festive fun this winter.
