Finding a hair salon that delivers beautiful colour, exceptional service and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere can feel surprisingly difficult. Fortunately, my recent visit to Blue Tit Battersea ticked every box and then some.

One of the first things I loved about the salon was its location. Based just a short walk from Battersea Power Station station, it’s incredibly convenient whether you’re travelling across London or simply popping in after work. Despite being so close to one of the city’s busiest new destinations, the salon feels calm and welcoming from the moment you step inside.

The space itself is stunning. Unlike many salons that can feel cramped or overly busy, Blue Tit Battersea has an open-plan layout with plenty of room to breathe. Natural light floods through the salon, creating a bright and airy environment that instantly helps you relax. The contemporary design combines modern style with soft, calming touches, making it feel more like a boutique wellness space than a traditional hair salon.

I visited for a colour appointment and was immediately impressed by the consultation process. My colourist took the time to discuss exactly what I wanted to achieve, offering expert advice while listening carefully to my ideas. The result was beautifully tailored colour that felt fresh, rich and natural-looking rather than overly processed or harsh.

One of the things that sets Blue Tit apart is its commitment to sustainability and natural haircare. The salon exclusively uses Oway products, which are organic, cruelty-free and made using naturally derived ingredients. Knowing that the products being applied to my hair were kinder to both my hair and the environment made the experience feel even more enjoyable.

Alongside my colour service, I treated myself to a nourishing hair treatment, and I’m so glad I did. My hair had been feeling dry and tired after a recent trip to Sri Lanka, but the treatment left it noticeably softer, shinier and healthier.

The highlight of the entire appointment, however, was the head massage. During the treatment and hair wash, I was treated to one of the most relaxing scalp massages I’ve experienced in a salon. It was the perfect combination of gentle pressure and soothing technique, helping me completely switch off for a few minutes.

Another thoughtful touch was the drinks menu. Blue Tit is known for creating an experience rather than simply offering hair services, and the cocktail menu certainly adds to that feeling.

By the time I left, my hair looked fantastic, felt incredibly healthy and I was completely relaxed. Between the expert colour work, natural products, luxurious treatment, glorious head massage and welcoming atmosphere, Blue Tit Battersea delivers far more than just a great hair appointment.
