Boundless Launches ‘Picky Bits Survival Kit’ ahead of National Picky Bits Day

Boundless – the gut-friendly snacking brand – is celebrating National Picnic Week (15th – 21st June) and National Picky Bits Day (27th June) with the launch of a limited-edition Picky Bits Survival Kit. On a mission to prove that snacking can be dopamine-filled, flavour-packed and better-for-you, the new launch is a playful, snack-first picnic toolkit for a nation increasingly powered by grazing-style eating.

With Google Trends data showing search interest in “picky bits” is up 100% year-on-year and 550% over the past five years, and the Waitrose Food & Drink Report finding that 57% of customers replace meals with snacky foods, snacking is no longer something that happens between meals – it is the meal.

However, while snack-style eating has evolved, the snack offering hasn’t kept pace. In a society preoccupied with fibre-maxxing at mealtimes, it’s the between-meal snacking where the fibre gap is really showing up, with a quarter of people reporting to eat healthy main meals but poor-quality snacks. Despite 78% of 16-34 year-olds seeking snacks offering specific health benefits, availability remains an issue with over 30% of people struggling to find healthy snacks.

The Boundless Picky Bits Survival Kit has been created to celebrate, rather than demonise the evolving role that snacking is playing in our everyday diets, and provide the tools to snack with serious style this summer. The Picky Bits Survival Kit includes:

  • Boundless High Fibre Chips and Nuts & Seeds Boosts – aka, the main event. Big on crunch and mouth-wateringly moreish, Boundless Snacks aren’t just a party for your taste buds, they’re also loaded with prebiotic fibre to keep you and your gut happy
  • A Boundless Snackbox to keep your snack supply away from picky fingers
  • Snacking Chopsticks – to protect fingers and phones from snack dust
  • A Snack Funnel – for hands-free seed snacking
  • Hip Pop Sunshine Soda – a gut-loving sip for washing down the snacks and keeping the good mood flowing
  • A Boundless Good Mood Food cap – official headgear for anyone taking snack culture seriously
  • A Boundless Fan – for subtly hiding top-tier snacks from envious eyes
  • Post-Picky Bits Mints – because Sour Cream & Onion Boundless Chips and close conversation are a risky combo…
  • Wipes – for any snack dust emergencies
  • Bag Clips – for resealing the 14 open bags that come with any proper snacking session

Cathy Moseley, founder of Boundless Snacks, said: “Snacking has been demonised for too long, but the reality is that it now plays a much bigger role in how we eat. At Boundless, our mission is to make snacks that work harder, meaning they are full of flavour and packed with ingredients to keep your body, and in particular your gut, happy. The Picky Bits Survival Kit is our playful way of celebrating snack culture, while showing that better-for-you snacking doesn’t have to be boring.”

Boundless uses a process called activation across their snacking range, soaking their nuts, seeds & grains to sprout them before baking, making them easier to digest and increasing nutrient availability. The result is a range of bold, crunchy snacks designed to be gut-friendly without compromising on flavour.

The Boundless Picky Bits Survival Kit will be available to purchase from the Boundless Snacks website, priced at £14.99.
