At the event on Saturday 9th October, guests can express creativity with an added royal touch when creating their very own bouquet inspired by different flowers, scents and colours loved by the royals.

  • Queen Elizabeth II | Symbolising determination and purity, this bouquet includes lilies of the valley and hellebores. This elegant combination is paired with blue flowers, the Queen’s rumoured favourite colour, and marks the monarch’s fancy for flora and fauna perfectly.
  • The Duchess of Cornwall | Inspired by Camilla Parker-Bowles herself, this bouquet is testament to her favourite colours and flower, alchemilla. Known for their exceptional beauty from their delicate foliage and neutral to green tones, they make the perfect addition to any bouquet.
  • Duchess of Cambridge | Including Kate Middleton’s favourite flowers, myrtle, stocks and sweet williams, this bouquet is centred around it’s bright fuchsia pinks and the Duchess’ love of the outdoors.

From the world of flowers, guests will then be treated to the Royal Afternoon Tea in the Wellington Lounge which celebrates the longest reigning monarch in the world, Her Majesty The Queen. The delicious spread includes plain and raisin buttermilk scones and even the Queen’s favourite chocolate biscuit cake which she shares with her grandchildren, this is the ultimate quintessentially British experience for guests and visitors alike.

With floor to ceiling windows, contemporary design and plenty of soft comforts, The Wellington Lounge is the ideal space to take time out for a peaceful royal inspired afternoon tea whilst the buzz of London carries on in full view outside.

Once the childhood home to Queen Elizabeth when the address was 145 Piccadilly, the iconic hotel has always been synonymous with quintessential British and royal culture. Sitting on one of London’s most prestigious corners between the elegant streets of Mayfair and the glamour of Knightsbridge, the property overlooks two royal parks and is within sight of Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Flower School experience runs for 3-4 hours from 12:00pm and includes afternoon tea. Prices start at £150.00 per person. For an additional £17.00 per person, a glass of R de Ruinart can be included with afternoon tea. For further information, please visit https://parklane.intercontinental.com/en/royal-afternoon/.
