Brompton Unseen City Photo Exhibition Review

Brompton’s flagship store on Long Acre opens up its lower floor with an exhibition of urban photography from around the world. There’s a good mixof picturesque and gritty, day and night photography. There was also some pleasing industrial photography (I’m a sucker for a bit of urban decay, me) and some good shots of graffiti.

Many but not all of the photos feature Bromptons zippy little bikes- I quite liked trying to spot them. In some, for instance in a traditional Chinese temple, the Brompton added a nice bit of contrast.

This was the winning entry from @dididd, who received a coveted ‘Black Edition’ Brompton Bike. Runners up were @top_alienboy (pictured below) and Bao Yue Chong.

Photographs were judged by Dave Burt (of @London on Instagram), Rich McCor (@paperboyo– watch out of his fun paper cutouts on instagram), and Raquel Sanchez Silva (host of TV show ‘likes’), and William Butler Adams (CEO of Brompton).

It’s a small exhibition so worth dipping into if you’re in Covent Garden, the Strand or Holborn area and feel like a quick late exhibition – the shop is open til 7 all weeknights, 6 Saturday and 5 Sunday. Other fun things to do in the area are the Market and the West End, or the Royal Opera House if you feel like pushing the boat out and being a bit of a culture vulture.

Where: Brompton Junction, 76 Long Acre London WC2E 9JE
