Chino Latino rolls out an Asian Pickled menu

Tucked away inside the Park Plaza London Riverbank Hotel, modern pan-Asian restaurant and Latin cocktail bar Chino Latino is well ahead of the curve by focusing their menus on fermented and pickled foods. By using fermented Asian ingredients, each course on offer works to boost energy and improve the digestive system by introducing probiotics into the diet.

Running until the end of March foodies can sample various starter courses including edamame with fermented black bean sauce (the healthier accompaniment to a cocktail or mocktail), miso marinated pork belly and kimchi maki roll, which draws inspiration from Japan and cured seared salmon with green mango salad and quails egg.

Their main course features rib eye bulgogi beef with pickled eryngi mushrooms and pickled carrot. Notice the emphasis on pickled. I think it’s quite clear pickled food is a major trend this year. If you can’t resist desert you might wish to try their apple mousse with earl grey dates and pickled carrot. We did!

If you don’t know about this restaurant and bar I recommend going for a cocktail and some starters or eating dinner there. It’s a fantastic place to go on a romantic date or to celebrate your Birthday. As well as the food, the cocktails are made from the finest and freshest ingredients. There’s something exclusive about this place. Maybe because its tucked away in a hotel and not everyone knows about it. Thanks to us now you do. We couldn’t keep it a secret for long. We like that its whereabouts isn’t very visible.
