Clerkenwell Grind Review

Clerkenwell Grind, an all day and late night restaurant, club-bar in an old warehouse building in Clerkenwell has finally opened its doors and not without the fanfare it deserved.  Welcomed with open arms and ploughed with some of the most superb and delectable cocktails I have ever had to fortune of tasting, we were spoilt for choice.  Having travelled in by underground and walking from the station in the blistering cold, I was in more than a little need of some central heating.  As if reading my mind, I was greeted with a hot flat white Russian (my first experience of this awesome phenomena) – one the Clerkenwell Grinds Coffee cocktails – it, without a doubt warmed my cockles!

For those that do not know a White Russian is a cocktail made with vodka, coffee liqueur (Kahlúa or Tia Maria), and cream served with ice in an Old-Fashioned glass. Clerkenwell Grind however do it a little different – made using Grind House Expresso, vodka, Kahlúa and milk – it is like an electric blanket in a glass! The cocktails menu is awash with both variety and exclusivity – they even make mocktails to order.
