DADDY BAO RINGS IN THE FESTIVE SEASON WITH A TAIWANESE-INSPIRED FEASTING MENU
Tooting’s favourite neighbourhood Taiwanese restaurant, Daddy Bao, is kicking off the winter season with a Festive Feasting menu for the first time ever, designed to be shared between friends and family. The new menu takes inspiration from traditional Christmas dishes and ingredients and combines them with the bold and celebratory flavours of Taiwan.
Launching on Tuesday 22nd November, the four course menu begins with a welcome Christmas cocktail to be enjoyed alongside lotus root crisps. Guests will then be treated to a decadent spread of seasonal dishes designed to be shared, as well as two bao per person: Fried brussels sprouts with Taiwanese sausage sauce; Charred hispi cabbage with miso dressing; Fried chicken with spiced bean sauce; Duck bao with hoisin, cucumber & spring onion; Pigs in blankets bao with pickled red cabbage. There is also a Five spice mince pie gyoza with Shaoxing cream to finish, which is delicious alongside Daddy Bao’s mulled sake.
Veggies and vegans will be equally well looked after, and in place of the meaty dishes will be served Stir fried brussels sprouts with miso and chestnut sauce; Marinated and grilled aubergine in a sesame sauce; Crispy Tofu Bao with sesame slaw and sweet and sour cranberry sauce, and Shiitake mushroom bao with pickled onions and miso.
The menu is priced at £28 per head for the regular feasting menu and £25 per head for the vegetarian/ vegan feasting menu. The menu will be available from Tuesday to Sunday until 23rd December and bookings can be made now via https://daddybao.co.uk.
Daddy Bao promises delicious food, cocktails and warm festive cheer to all.
