Double Dutch Winter Popup Review

On 3rd December we headed to The Cinnamon Club to experience the new Double Dutch Winter Bar. Now you know we’re fans of the award winning tonic water brand so we were looking forward to a night of cocktails and amazing food. Plus getting to try the new limited-edition seasonal flavour, ‘Rhubarb & Pineneedle’… there was no where we would rather be on a Tuesday nights 

The Cinnamon Club has turned their basement bar into a subterranean winter grotto complete with frost covered pine foliage and white winter florals. Scattered lush faux fur soft furnishings, alpine forest installations and lounge seating make this bar an intimate bar to spend an evening. 

The event was super busy so it was difficult to get the full cosy feel of the bar, but it wasn’t too hard to imagine how the bar would be if you were visiting with a loved ones or friends.

There is a bespoke menu of cocktails and non-alcoholic winter warmers all using Double Dutch’s award-winning mixers – low in calories and free from preservatives and artificial ingredients. Try the Hot, Spiced Gin Punch with Plymouth Gin, apple, honey, lemon, Masala spice and topped with Double Dutch ‘Rhubarb & Pineneedle’; the Kensington which pairs Bombay Sapphire with Double Dutch ‘Cranberry & Ginger Tonic’, or the Watermelon Cooler blended with Olmeca Blanco Tequila, lime, pomegranate and topped with Double Dutch ’Cucumber & Watermelon’. Non-alcoholic options include the Bombay Punch made with bitter orange, clove, Kaffir lime and topped with Double Dutch ‘Pomegranate & Basil’.

On the night we are also able to try some of the  Bombay-inspired bar bites designed by The Cinnamon Club’s Executive Chef and CEO Vivek Singh. They were delicious and we hope to visit the restaurant again soon to provide a full review of our dining experience. 

The bar will be open seven days a week from midday until close.  Check it out if you’re not into roof top pop ups and want something a little more cosy and warm. The bar will be open until the end of January so don’t miss out.
