Ditch the usual egg hunt, as we’re inviting young explorers to take part in the Mini Icons Scavenger Hunt – a thrilling quest through the hotel’s unique spaces. With treasure maps in hand, children will search for hidden clues, uncover cool facts about the hotel’s 90 year old history, and tick off challenges to earn Easter sweet treats.
Adding to the excitement, each child will get the rockstar treatment, alike guests of the past, Jimi Hendrix, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, with a special on-stage moment at the iconic SOUND cafe. Captured in a 360-degree video booth the experience will be shareable across social media to show friends and family at home your new claim to fame.

The Cumberland will also be taking part in The Big Egg Hunt, presented by the Elephant Family. Over Easter 2025, the world’s leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers will turn a collection of 150 egg sculptures into unique masterpieces. With one displayed in The Cumberland and the rest of the collection across iconic London locations, the eggs will be hidden throughout the city for six weeks, hunted down by the public who will all be chasing the ultimate prize. Each egg will be sold in an auction at the end of the hunt, raising vital funds for conservation projects that will help protect endangered animals all over the world.
The egg, designed by celebrated artist Louise Dear, is inspired by the mantra “There Are No Rules”, a bold and joyful philosophy reflected in her signature vibrant style. Layered with radiant sunrise hues of yellow and pink, the piece captures the breathtaking Mediterranean dawns that uplift the artist. Her muse embodies pure pleasure and self-assured seduction, while pink blooms and sprawling Michaelmas daisies symbolise the changing seasons. Contrasting black and white elements ground the artwork, while two-tone blues mirror the ever-shifting waters surrounding her home. Guests can find the egg located in The Cumberland and across iconic London locations.
