Five Points Courtyard is Hackney’s newest outdoordrinking + dining spot

With open-fire cooking at its core alongside an exciting drinks offering, Five Points Courtyard is set to become East London’s hottest outdoor drinking + dining experience

Hackney legends Five Points Brewing are partnering with the team behind London Fields Courtyard to unveil the new Five Points Courtyard, which opened its doors Thursday, May 25th. The 300-seater space will feature independent food traders, cocktails, natural wines, and tank-fresh Five Points beers with indoor, outdoor and bookable private areas.

It features a fully-covered deck area in addition to the iconic railway arches of the Courtyard. It hosts renowned food vendors – cult favourite open-fire BBQ specialists, From The Ashes and Middle-Eastern taco extraordinaires, anoosh.

Nose-to-tail concept, From The Ashes, was an idea born out of the pandemic by Temper colleagues Martin Anderson and Curtis Bell and its opening in Five Points Courtyard signals a full circle return to East London. BBQ fans can expect an array of seasonal small and large plates ranging from Argentinian Sausage with Chimichurri, Short Ribs, Half-smoked Chicken and Salsa Verde, and Pit Roasted Cauliflower Flatbread with Chilli Romesco – to name a few.

Celebrating Mexican and Middle Eastern flavours, anoosh (an Armenian expression which celebrates the love of food), is the brainchild of KERB alums Jack A. Fargher and Oli Stephen of Camden Market’s famous Oli Baba’s halloumi fries. Diners can expect taco fillings with a twist including Harissa Chicken with zhug sauce, jajig and pickled chillies and vegetarian-friendly Falafel tacos topped with gojuchang tahini and pomegranate molasses and a variety of sides.

Five Points Courtyard also boasts an extensive drinks menu from tank-fresh Five Points beer to cocktails from Dalston favourite Pamela bar and an extensive wine list offering from Bert Blaize, 2019 Top Young Wine Sommelier Of The Year and author of ‘Which Wine When’.

Martin Wade Thomas, founder of London Fields Courtyard says: “We are excited to partner with Five Points to create this new outdoor drinking and dining space in the heart of Hackney. We’ve been carefully curating the space, the food and the drinks and cannot wait to get it open for a summer of fun.”

Edward Mason, managing director of Five Points Brewing says: “We have long been at the forefront of the local food, drink and hospitality scene and are excited to be bringing this new Courtyard experience to our neighbourhood. This is our biggest hospitality venture to date and we are excited to showcase the best of East London’s food and drink scene.”
