Gallio Canary Wharf

With its bold flavours and impeccably sourced ingredients, new Mediterranean pizza restaurant
Gallio has burst onto London’s food scene, opening its doors in Canary Wharf in The Atrium Kitchen
on Upper Level 2 of Cabot Place. Gallio offers a brand-new, thoroughly modern style of pizza,
alongside sharing mezze-style small plates, seasonal salads, Mediterranean bowls and fully loaded
flatbreads, all packed with nutritious and vibrant seasonal ingredients.

If you are looking for that easy place to dine with colleagues, friends or a special date, then Gallio is for you. The eclectic menu allows for a mix of great Italian dishes with hearty Mediterranean meals. A must for the foodies amongst us.

We had to try some of the amazing new dishes on offer and to experience the feel of the venue ourselves. On walking into the restaurant, the staff were really warm and welcoming. They were bracing themselves for a busy dinner session, but kept smiling and welcoming all guests without worrying about the bustle around them. This immediately set my guest and I at ease and straight away we knew we were in for a brilliant chilled night.

For my mains I tried their grilled Moroccan chicken shish, which was served with some flat bread. The small plate was just perfect to begin the evening with and it accompanied my main really well. For my main I tried the Lamb Kofte Mediterranean bowl. It was served with warm couscous, herbs, black rice, piquillo peppers, turmeric cauliflower and pickled onion. It was absolutely divine, I love hearty food and this made me smile. It was really filling and the portion size was great, for £9.00 we really couldn’t go wrong. My friend tried the Salami Nduja pizza, which is topped with Nduja, fennel salami, signature red piquillo peppers, buffalo mozzarella and wild rocket. She stayed pretty silent whilst eating and that is always a great sign.

It was really tough after such a great meal to fit in a dessert. So we decided to share the warm chocolate brownie with ice-cream. It was DELICIOUS!!! Don’t do what we did, definetly make sure you retain some space for dessert.

If you are looking for a great place to eat hearty food, with great staff, I would highly recommend Gallio’s. Book now and enjoy.
