Get happy the Thai way

Sky Fall

A big lover of Thai food I’ve never really associated this cuisine with cocktails but how that has changed. After yet another eventful week we headed West one rainy Sunday evening and had the pleasure of sampling Thai Square’s new cocktail menu at their relaxing riverside bar in Putney Bridge. This award-winning restaurant and bar welcomed us with big genuine smiles and tempted us with their new cocktail menu.

Thai Square are definitely serious about their creativity – both in terms of their recipes (see the Executive starters and main dishes) and presentation – these knockout concoctions ooze freshness and style. We sipped on the classic champagne cocktail with a cognac twist, the ‘Sky Fall’ with fresh lychee and Belvedere Vodka, the ‘Bangkok Dangerous’ with homemade infused lemongrass and ginger vodka and ‘The Lovers’ cocktail with Tanqueray No.10 and elderflower and raspberry liqueur. With other locations across London we recommend popping in for pre-dinner drinks or a pre-theatre dinner.

The spacious TSQ bar on the ground floor in Putney Bridge is the ideal location to go with friends and colleagues, but it can also be hired in its entirety for a private events space. And if you fancy relaxing outdoors, drinks can also be savoured on the bar’s riverside terrace with its spectacular views of the River Thames. With an approach dedicated to perfection and quality there is little reason not to leave this place unimpressed. The food is delicious too.

Thai Square Putney Bridge is open Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 3pm and 6pm to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday, 12 noon to 11.30pm (10.30pm on Sunday).
