With the excitement of every news vendor in the land announcing that we are set for a 3 week heatwave in October, we donned on our glad rags and packed our holiday bags to find the best staycation for all of our readers. We happened to stumble upon an oldie but a goody, Haven Holidays, the perfect getaway for families and great place to unwind.
Haven holidays own and operate 35 award-winning family holiday parks throughout England, Scotland and Wales. All close to some of Britain’s most beautiful beaches and brightest resorts making them a great base for exploring the local area. All parks hold conservation awards and many are located next to or have direct access to some award winning beaches. Wales.
Abi piled her two year old and mum in the car for a long girlie weekend at Haven Allhallows to soak up the sun and have a break from the hustle and bustle of London. Read to find out how she got on.
The morning we bundled in the car I half dreaded driving to Kent, it sound really far and the idea of my 2 year old daughter kicking my chair and whining with my slightly elderly mother moaning about needing to stretch her legs. I was nicely surprised the journey was just over an hour, it was easy and the traffic virtually non-existent from North London. I spoke to some other families from London who travelled down by train and found the journey to be stress free and really quick.
The park is full of luxury caravans, it is literally having a home from home, based on the sea front it felt like we were abroad and the warm weather last weekend really helped.
My two year old was in awe, she really got stuck into the toddler clubs and loved playing and exploring with the other kids. There are plenty of activities on and whether you have a toddler or teenager they will not be disappointed. There are also family fun activities to get stuck into like nature walks, the swimming pools (inside and outside I might add), that there is no time to be bored.
After a fun packed weekend it felt really sad to come home, but we know we will be back. With the expected October heatwave and the upcoming October half term, I would recommend get booking and get your family down there.
Whats even more exciting is that Haven have partnered with Infacare to offer families free treats who attend one of their holiday parks. InfaCare is ultra-mild and pH balanced with masses of long-lasting bubbles, which makes it very popular at baby bath time. A baby’s skin is ten times more delicate than adult skin and the reason why InfaCare is formulated to be as natural and gentle as possible. InfaCare is widely stocked by supermarkets and other high street shops, as well as online. Find out where to buy InfaCare here: Infacare Information
