Heads + Tails Review

Lets be honest, us Londoners are pretty spoilt when it comes to places to brunch at, new brunch menus seem to be popping up all over the place (lucky us!) Last Sunday we headed to Heads + Tails in West Hampstead, which is conveniently located a one minute walk from the station.

It was a nice Sunny morning, so of course we opted to sit outside in their outdoor seating area at the back, our waitress was friendly and welcoming and we felt instantly at ease, seated outside in the beaming sunshine.

The menu is quite limiting, but in saying that, the selection on offer was appetising! I opted for the charcoal sourdough and scrambled eggs and my friend went for the protein plate which came with merguez, chorizo, bacon and a house bean mix. I enjoyed my dish, the eggs were nice and buttery and with the additionally sides it was a nice filing dish. The stand-out side for me was definitely the braised mushrooms, which our waitress recommended. Not sure what the secret sauce was but it was nothing liked I’ve tasted before, a definite winner in my books!

I do recommend getting sides, if you are hungry as my main was on the small side, but then for £5 it certainly was a bargain and I was happy to choose sides.

If you want a boozy brunch, Heads + Tails offers a bottomless offer on prosecco and clementine mimosas for just £25 and can be ordered with the purchase of a main brunch meal. You may also be happy to know Heads + Tails is also a late-night cocktail bar, serving up some scrumptious cocktails. So weather you want day or evening entertainment, Heads + Tails have you covered.

Brunch service is from 10am – 3pm, on Saturday and Sunday.
