It’s Always Gin O’Clock with Nicholson’s

Nicholson's Gin Festival 2017jpg

The geniuses at Nicholson’s have outdone themselves with #GinFest2017 – comprising a month’s worth of secret gin parties, gigs, masterclasses and gin tours taking place across the UK. They’ve handpicked 38 gin brands to take part, from the big hitters like Tanqueray to artisanal distillery Sipsmith and boutique Peckham brand Little Bird.

The main events include the ‘Little Bird Fly By’, a cocktail-fueled 1940s party and the must-see Sipsmith Gin Cab. We’re particularly excited about the Hendricks Cucumber Couriers!

But that’s not all, takeovers from the likes of Cotswolds Distillery and Bathtub Old Tom promise not to disappoint with tastings, masterclasses and those top-secret parties. And how will you find these ‘secret gin parties’? You’ll need to look out for Old Tom, the black cat, who used to adorn the doors to secret gin parlours in the 1700s, when anti-gin laws meant drinking went underground. Keep your eyes peeled!

Exclusive to this year’s festival is the Barrel Aged Tanqueray Festival Gin – aged in a whisky barrel to bring out delicious notes of sweet caramel and vanilla. As a special collaboration between Nicoholson’s and Tanqueray, there are only 400 litres available (just over 5 bottles per pub) so you’ll need to hop to it to get your hands on some.

Fancy a two night break and a trip to the City of London Distillery, worth more than £1,500? Yes us too. Download the Nicholson’s app and follow them on social @Nicholsonspubs, for the chance to win #InItToGinIt #GinOclock.

The festival runs from now until the end of August – time to start planning your next gin-perience!
