KNOOPS LAUNCHES CACAO TEA FOR JANUARY THAT TASTES LIKE CHOCOLATE

Knoops (www.knoops.co.uk), the UK’s first dedicated chocolate drinks brand, has launched a delicious Cacao Tea (8oz, £2.45) with a unique chocolatey taste and fantastic antioxidant properties

The tea has zero calories and is gorgeously fragrant from its preparation – it is made from roasted cacao husk, a natural byproduct of the chocolate-making process. The result, a thirst-quenching tea that smells and tastes chocolatey, whilst making use of an ordinarily disposed of, natural ingredient.

The tea has an abundant range of natural antioxidants and is also caffeine- and gluten-free. Expert panelists at The Great Taste Awards 2022 remarked the tea as “exquisite” with a “chocolatey aroma” and a “well rounded flavour.” The perfect drink to warm up the cold afternoons and evenings at home, the tea can be enjoyed both hot or cold for the later summer months.

Knoops Cacao Tea can be enjoyed in-store or purchased online (£6.95, 100g). Guests looking to enjoy the tea in-store can make use of Knoopology – the ultimate drink personalisation process, or become Knoopologists at home with the simplest cupboard ingredients. To enhance, it is possible to pair the Cacao Tea with cinnamon, vanilla, masala chai, lemon zest, orange zest or ginger.

Visitors in-store still looking to indulge in a delicious chocolate drink, can still choose from a diverse menu with over 20 different chocolate percentages – from 28% White to 100% Extra Dark. Individuals then choose their preferred hot or cold drink followed by their chocolate percentage, then their milk, before finally enhancing their beverage with flavoursome add-ons. The drink is poured out into a mug or bowl for a smooth hot chocolate, or over cold milk and ice for an iced chocolate. It can also be blended with ice cream for a delicious milkshake.

Those participating in Veganuary can also decide between a large range of plant-based chocolate beverages. All chocolate percentages over 54% are suitable for vegans, alongside a unique 38% Oat M*lkversion which combines smooth oat milk with Solomon Islands single origin dark chocolate to create a vegan hot chocolate alternative to milk chocolate. There are also six non-dairy milks from Minor Figures and Rude Health to choose from, including hazelnut, oat, soya, coconut and almond.

Visitors can make a delicious pilgrimage to one of the Knoops stores in London, Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge or Sussex, or purchase the contents they need from the brand’s website, as well as using fresh herbs, fruits and spices from the kitchen to create the unique Knoops experience at home.
