With winter well and truly on its way and Christmas not too far behind it, bars and resturants all over the city are updating their spaces into truly magical winter wonderlands. Coq D’Argent is no different and this year, they have updated their alpine ski lodge them and recreated the classic story of Little Red Riding Hood. This year’s launch party saw my friend and I spend a fairy-tale evening sipping Hennessey Cognac infused Hot Chocolate while snuggled up near the heaters in the event space.

Lodge d’Argent theme this year is absolutely gorgeous. With rustic wooden walls, fur blankets and cushions – It was the kind of venue you could imagine hiding away from the winter chill.  We loved exploring the venue and seeing the miniature Little Red Riding Hood scenes. It was fun finding all the attention to detail that has gone into creating this dazzling new winter hideaway.

We got to try some of the canapes going around the venue and these were lovely. The press release for the Lodge D’Argent states this year’s menu from Head Chef Damien Rigollet ‘will focus on well-loved, hearty French classics, including Raclette gratin with ratte potatoes and Alpine dry cured ham; Pomme frites with Chablis and black truffle mustard mayonnaise; and Leek and Comté tart with mixed leaf salad. The dessert menu will offer dishes paired with Hennessy Cognac, including Chestnut macarons and Fresh waffles with hot chocolate and chantilly cream’.  Sounds absolutely delicious and definitely worth making my way back to Lodge D’Argent to have my taste buds tempted.

A large number of winter cocktails are now also available on their festive menu. We only got to try the Hot Chocolate and it definitely warmed me up from head to toe. They were too tasty to just stop at one.

Running from 23rd November until the end of February, Lodge d’Argent is the perfect haven to escape to after work and the ideal space for Christmas parties. Make your way down there to witness the magic yourself. You’ll be utterly mesmerised.
