MADRÍ EXCEPCIONAL IS BRINGING INTERACTIVE STREET ART TO LONDON THIS BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Madrí Excepcional, the Mediterranean style lager, is bringing ‘El Alma de Madrid’ or the soul of Madrid to London this Bank Holiday weekend (25 – 27 August). Celebrating a shared passion for street art, in London and Madrid, Londoners will be able to visit the brand’s free interactive painting and have the opportunity to paint their own section of the largescale mural featuring iconic elements of Spanish and London culture.

An integral piece of both Madrid and London’s identity is street art, with East London housing some of the most exciting street art across the city. As part of the free over-18 event, participants will learn the basics of street art, with tips and tricks from experts on site to help them unleash their inner creativity. They’ll be given the opportunity to put their own stamp on a section of the beautiful mural, featuring designs by one of Madrid’s best street artists, Sokram, and leading London artist, Choots. The mural will be reset each day, creating three unique pieces of artwork collectively made by the people of London.

To help quench their thirst after an afternoon of artistry, all participants will be able to redeem a free Madrí Excepcional from BOXPARK Shoreditch. Effortlessly fusing the concepts of the modern street food market and the pop-up retail mall, BOXPARK stands proudly in the heart of London’s Shoreditch to deliver a community of both independent and established brands specialising in fashion, arts, food and drinks.

An interactive tote bag station will be available at the mural site, allowing participants to create and takeaway their own piece of artwork from the space. Budding designers can take away a bag featuring the full designs by Choots and Sokram, or create their own unique design with Madrí Excepcional branded stickers and text.

Sophie Mitchell, Senior Brand Manager at Madrí Excepcional says: “Madrí Excepcional was born through a collaboration with Molson Coors and La Sagra brewery, combining our brewing experience. We’re excited to bring this collaborative spirit to London through the artwork of Choots and Sokram, and to allow Londoners to share in our passion for street art. We’re excited to showcase the very best of both cities, as we bring the soul of Madrid to London.”

The event is free to participate in and will be taking place on Chance Street, E1 6JU, from 12pm – 6pm each day Friday 25th – Sunday 27th July.
