The Joint: Bringing BBQ Street Food to Marylebone

What is the difference between a pulled chicken KFC BBQ burger and The Joint’s pulled chicken BBQ burger?

Answer?

You can rest assured The Joint’s is 100% pure unadulterated chicken.

And chicken isn’t the only thing The Joint does well.

The guys have ventured out from their underground lair in Brixton Village (where even foodie veteran Tom Kerridge paid them a visit), and gone a little ‘ooooh la la’ with their new New Cavendish Street location. Have no fear folks, their menu is just as lip smackingly gorgeous and their interior just as ‘shabby bordering on self storage unit’ as we have come to know and love from the guys.

High ceilings are laden with Christmas tree-esque lights, and there is a beautiful peacock mural that is pretty darn similar to ones you see on a warehouse district haunt. The tables all house a secret dirty cutlery pan, and the distressed wood is just asking to be smothered in their famous BBQ sauce.

The food? As always the guys come up trumps. The most gorgeous fig and vanilla infused sourdough buns laden with juicy Asian or BBQ pork and chicken, plus our old rib, corn and chicken wing favourites. They even have some newbies on the menu with fries to suppress our chip addiction, and a delectable array of potent and virgin cocktails. Due to the fact I had frank the bike in tow, the apple, pear and winter spice was my drink of choice. The refreshing zingy taste was reminiscent of Christmas in cocktail form; absolutely delicious!

The one thing we noticed from our Brixton jolly was how oodles of BBQ sauce smothered the whole menu, but this time the chaps have left the sides clean and ready for you to lather at will. A definite pro, just in case you aren’t a BBQ fan (madness!)

With all the food prowess of their Brixton branch, yet with a new perfectly situated (some may disagree, however we feel Marylebone needs a bit of grunge-ing up!) Central London location; The Joint has the perfect combo of originality, familiarity and knock your socks off nosh.
