    The Superhumans – ‘Academy’

Last week we were invited to attend the I.C. Movement Academy in Hackney Wick, it was suggested by one of the Academy team that we attend a class called Trick and Tumbling. Cue me “Abi” who decided to take on the class thinking it was a mixture of rollie pollies and popping. I was so wrong, I walked into what I can only call a “Superhero Training Camp”and it was the most amazing fitness class I have ever seen. I actually thought I was in a scene from a Bruce Lee movie and I was the rubbish one that couldn’t…

    Adult Time

We all need a bit of adult time to let our hair down and to talk about something other than the various colours of baby poo or the best way to curb an incoming tantrum. I have very few friends with children so by default, going out with them, even for a coffee provides me with an instant dose of ‘me time’ because asides from the polite small talk asking how Princess is doing, we don’t talk about children. Instead I’m whisked back to Pre-Baby-Me (PBM) and idle chatter about men not returning phone calls, the latest weight loss trends…

    Getting off the ground

In my Goal Setting Post, I started by giving the first tip on how to start your new year on a high. I must admit I’m still struggling with one of my…

    Sweaters and Logos

I make it one of my daily tasks to check up on fashion trends online, in store and in magazines. It’s fair to say men’s fashion has skyrocketed in popularity thanks to the strength of effective product placement, social media and strong marketing. One of the more current trends that is sure to see you through to next season is the logo/graphic sweaters found both on the high-street and in the higher end stores. My favourite logo sweater of now is the Kenzo Paris Tiger face which is pretty much sold out EVERYWHERE! Don’t let this tarnish your hopes of…

    What to do over half-term

We try to plan as many outdoor excursions as possible during the holidays. Usually this includes trips to the farms, zoos and museums. One of the great things about living with children in a city such as London is we have so many rich cultural and educational experiences on our doorsteps. Paradise Wildlife Park, in Broxbourne is a favourite haunt, although technically it isn’t in London, it takes under 30 minutes to drive to as it is just outside the M25. There are fewer crowds than London Zoo; it is slightly cheaper too, with great facilities for young children it…
