Most Wanted: London’s First Prison Cocktail Bar, Alcotraz

alcotraz

This Autumn, a brand new prison-inspired cocktail bar will be opening in London. The pop-up bar – Alcotraz – is a first for London and will take inspiration from America’s infamous prison. For three months, Londoners will be able to sneak into the slammer for a scandalous evening featuring wardens, jumpsuits and padlocks aplenty. Guests will be given inmate numbers upon arrival before being asked to change into orange jumpsuits, smuggle liquor contraband past security and join their fellow offending felons for London’s most wanted prison party.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, inmates will be invited to hold their hands up and uncover a world of mischief, mayhem and music in dedicated prison cells and visitation areas. Forget drinks menus and fancy glasses, bespoke cocktails will be served from behind bars in discreet containers whilst prison wardens patrol nearby.

The prison will open it’s doors on 28th September and slam them shut for good on 17th December 2017.
The booking fee is £30, which includes four cocktails.
