NattyCanCook returns to The Clink Restaurant in HMP Brixton for a Special One-Night-Only Dining Experience
The Clink Charity is delighted to announce a very special evening with acclaimed chef Nathaniel Mortley, also known as NattyCanCook, at The Clink Restaurant situated within HMP Brixton on Thursday 13th November 2025.
Mortley, winner of Conde Nast Traveller’s one to watch in The UK’s Top New Restaurant Awards, will showcase a multi-course dining experience created in collaboration with Clink students, inspired by his signature pan-Caribbean culinary style.
NattyCanCook is a self-taught chef who rediscovered his love of cooking at The Clink Restaurant while serving time at HMP Brixton. Following his release, he continued his successful career in the hospitality industry and in October 2025 opened his own restaurant, 2210, in Herne Hill, South London, showcasing innovative pan-Caribbean cuisine inspired by his heritage.
Throughout the evening, Natty will also share his inspiring personal journey, from training at The Clink, to becoming a successful chef and restaurateur. During his time in prison Natty won the Clink’s Young Chef of the Year award and this year went full circle as a judge for the competition. He has also recently been appointed as the charity’s first-ever youth ambassador.

His journey demonstrates the impact of The Clink Charity’s mission to provide vocational training and pathways to employment for people in custody, reducing reoffending and giving people a second chance to succeed.
As part of The Clink Charity’s chef collaboration series, this event offers guests the chance to experience an unforgettable evening of food and storytelling, while raising awareness and funds for The Clink’s life-changing work with people in prison, as well as those at risk of offending.
All proceeds from the event will go towards The Clink’s work to reduce reoffending. Tickets are available to purchase via the link here.
