New British Dining Concept Montagu Kitchen Opens at Hyatt Regency London

Unveiling a new modern all-day dining destination, this September the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill restaurant is set to be renamed as The Montagu Kitchen. Celebrating the best of British produce, the new restaurant will be led by Kent born Executive Chef, Mark Sainsbury, and in association with the National Trust’s Chartwell house in Kent.

Chef Mark Sainsbury will be taking cue for the menu from sights, fragrances, and nature belonging to the gardens at Chartwell house, which was also Winston Churchill’s former illustrious residence. Cooking up a truly unique offering, dishes served up at The Montagu Kitchen are inspired by the seasons and will change each quarter, with several daily and weekly specials throughout.

Connecting countryside to the city, the world-famous Designers Guild reinterpreted the Chartwell’s gardens through colour, texture and pattern for the restaurant’s new look. From floral fabrics evocative of a summer meadow, to hand drawn wild flowers to capture the spirit of Chartwell Gardens. Guests can experience Chartwell through the décor as well as the cuisine.

Sitting in the heart of Marylebone, the Montagu Kitchen is open for teatime, lunch and dinner. Serving seasonal food using local suppliers and fresh British produce, the new hot spot brings delights from the gardens at Chartwell to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Highlights for September’s seasonal menu include:

– Marmalade pork belly, kale braised with barley and herbs, winter vegetables, and red wine sauce
With Chef’s homemade marmalade

– Sea bass, fennel and potato bake with snap peas, carrots with lemon caper, gherkins
With chives and parsley from The Montagu Kitchen’s rooftop garden

– Apple Charlotte
With pureed Granny Smith sauce and homemade smoked cinnamon ice cream

The Montague Kitchen opens mid-September, booking available in advance.
