No 35 Mackenzie Walk to open up in Canary Wharf
Known for its collection of independent sustainable bars located in quintessential London villages, Darwin and Wallace have just announced their first East London ventures, opening their 8th space in Canary Wharf this October.
‘No 35 Mackenzie Walk’ is set to open on the beautiful waterfront in Canary Wharf, just a short walk from Canary Wharf tube station, offering everything from morning coffee to evening cocktails and weekend brunches. A large feature bar surrounded by feasting tables, bar-top seating and cosy lounge areas set with bespoke sofas and armchairs, the space will honour the style of the area but in a relaxed, comfortable setting. The venue will draw upon local influences to offer city professionals and locals alike, a brand new hang-out in the bustling East London location. The perfect backdrop for socialising.
Following suit of the other already well-established Darwin & Wallace locations, No 35 Mackenzie Walk will offer an unrivalled drinks menu to suit all tastes. You can expect a specially curated seasonal cocktail menu, boasting premium spirits perfectly paired with the likes of mango, rhubarb, freshly-picked herbs, berries, and other delicious additions. The dedicated botanicals menu will also host the low-ABV Ketel Botanical spritz selection for those who are trying to be more mindful with their drinking, running alongside completely non-alcoholic beverages, such as Seedlip, Karma Cola, Jax Coco and Fix8 Kombucha. There will of course also be the obligatory coffee offering, brought to you by Caravan Coffee Roasters, a local roastery sourcing the best quality ethical coffee.
To match the exquisite drinks selection, No 35 Mackenzie Walk will also be serving up delicious dishes and sharers from the collection’s scratch-cooked, locally-sourced and sustainably-minded all-day food menu. Specially created but the well-known Executive Chef Simon Duff, the seasonal selection will make the most of responsibly sourced ingredients and ‘wonky’ veg. So, whether guests are after a lazy weekend brunch with friends, a lunchtime treat with colleagues, or a delicious Sunday Roast with loved ones, they can indulge in sustainable and seasonal dishes all year round.
