Psychic Burger Dalston Review
Don’t we all wish we could eat a burger that read our mind? Knew our wants and needs? Was so succulent and juicy it melted in your mouth?
Okay so the new Psychic Burger can’t quite tick the first two boxes but definitely have the last one down!
Heading up the kitchen in Dalston’s ‘The Victoria’ Psychic Burger has finally gone east and is ready to share their meaty wares.
The pub setting is always a warm and inviting one and The Victoria is no exception. We parked up our bikes, headed in and were greeted by the staff before plopping down onto a communal tables.
Armed with a beer we turned to the tough task of menu decisions. We had to try a famous psychic burger, and we teamed this with a buttermilk chicken shawarma, deep fried gherkins and some psychic fries.
A hop, skip and jump later our food arrived all packed in cool american style wrapping and plastic baskets diner style!
The burger oozed with cheese and was super juicy cushioned between soft demi-brioche. Laden with gherkins, tomatoes and lettuce (making us feel marginally healthier!), however the gherkins were not a spec on the deep fried beasties! With a herby dip they were gone in a jiffy.
The buttermilk chicken inside the shawama was succulent and beautifully seasoned. The only downside was a bit of bread excess made it a little dry.
However the STAND OUT dish of the day was our psychic fries. Oh my goodness the best concoction ever! Sweet potato fries, cheese, jalepenos, sausage, bacon and beef chilli. Please insert drooling here. It was so totally awesome, unfortunately for my chum I ate all the sausage which was amazong. Try these dudes, you won’t regret it!
Next time you’re in Dalston and feeling like some really great quality diner food head down to Psychic Burger for some mind reading-ly fabulous wares!
