Review: Anna Maes Mac n’ Cheese

Nothing beats festival hunger pangs better than a shed load of carbs. Luckily this year Mac n’ Cheese connoisseurs Anna Maes have been touring the scene armed with their ‘Burt Reynolds’ 1986 GMC Vandura and their ‘Cheesus Loves You’ 1950s style trailer dishing our hearty portions of cheese-tacular goodness.

We headed down to the truck at one of our festival adventures to check them out! Oh golly we weren’t disappointed. After a heavy night previously we tucked into warm ooey gooey pots of delicious-ness. We opted for a Annie Mac (classic for our veggie chum), a Kanye Western (hot dogs, BBQ sauce and crispy onions) and a Don Macaroni (bacon, pesto, basil).

Now not only can you chomp on their yummy wares in at festivals and London at the likes of Street Feast and Blackheath Festival, but the guys also privately cater and have their own recipe book! (with a cracking “finish with a pinch of lime, more glitter and a straw you sparkly bitch” quote in there!)
