REVIEW: Thai Square Spa

Thai Sq Spa Vip suite 2-2

Most people know Thai Square as just a Thai Restaurant, but they also have a luxury spa in Northumberland Avenue, in Westminster, housed in a historical and beautful building. I must say it’s very grand looking and when I entered, it transformed me into feeling quite regal. The decor has influences of the East, where you see gold murals, wood carvings and Thai silks.

I was greeted by friendly staff who showed me to the woman’s changing rooms, where I was given a robe and slippers. Now normally for facials I tend to be given a headband to hold my hair back, but at Thai Square they pull out all the stops to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I was booked in for the Immaculate Complexions facial (which lasts for an hour), suitable for sensitive skin, which I think most people who live in London have, due to the pollution, so this facial seemed like a good choice. The facial included an exclusive Jasmine Free Radical Defense Complex, which helps your skin to feel more youthful and luminous.

Once I laid down and the treatment began I closed my eyes and switched off, allowing myself to fully enjoy the relaxing experience, after all, how many times can you say you treat yourself to a facial? Us ladies don’t treat ourselves enough, and to be honest it’s something that has to change… If we don’t look after our bodies, who will, we certainly deserve it after a 5 day working week.

The facial was relaxing and the luxury skincare products used were calming on my skin, I was treated to a facial cleanse and massage, exfoliation and a face mask, while the face mask was on I was given a 5 minute shoulder massage, which was bliss. Once the facial was finished, my skin felt incredibly smooth and I had a certain glow. A glow I only dream of each morning when I wake up!

The facial costs £80, however it was worth every penny, once your treatment is over you are encouraged to continue to relax and unwind by taking a seat in the relaxation area with your robe and slippers on, I was offered a Thai green tea and I have to tell you, sitting down, surrounded by candles, relaxing music and not a person in sight was utter bliss, it felt like I was in a secret temple that no one but me knew about. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. Most spas I’ve been to in London, you get your treatment and then off you go, sometimes they offer you tea in the waiting area, but nothing like Thai Square, this place is opulent and luxurious, when you enter you leave the hustle of London at the door.

The Spa also offers body massages, detox body treatments, waxing, make-up along with a nail and hair salon. You can see a list of all treatments along with prices here – www.thaisquarespa.com/treatments

Yes ladies it’s your one stop shop for all thing beauty! Its 5 stars all the way!
