Slingsby Gin and Oh La La Macarons
In the lead up to Mothers Day, we were invited by Slingsby Gin to Oh La La Macarons who have teamed up for a brilliant Martini and Macaron masterclass.
On arrival, we were served a delicious Rhubarb and Lychee Martini, using their rhubarb gin and met some of the other people attending the masterclass. The tables were set up in front of us with beautiful seasonal flowers and every person had a little plate of their own macarons to enjoy during the demonstration.
For ten years, Oh La La Macarons have been running martini and macaron workshops, where they kicked off by showing us how macarons are made and some tips and tricks for if we want to try and make them ourselves. Throughout the session, we helped ourselves to unlimited macarons and the team at Slingsby Gin topped us up with their rhubarb and lychee martinis and a breakfast martini, with their marmalade gin.
We were then talked through the history of martinis before a big box of macarons, decorations and buttercreams were put in front of us to start filling and decorating our own sweet treats.
