Summer Sunday Roasts At Straits Kitchen

Located moments from Liverpool Street Station, Pan Pacific London’s signature restaurant Straits Kitchen has launched the Summer Sunday Roast set menu – a Singaporean take on the traditional Sunday roast. It was an experience we won’t forget.

Onin.London visited a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved it. The new set menu is avaikable throughout the Summer on Sundays from 12:30 – 4:00 PM from 17th July, serving three courses with a half bottle of Casa Canevel Prosecco for £50 per person.

The three courses, paired with a half bottle of Casa Canevel Prosecco D.O.C can be supplemented with a selection of snacks, including: Fried Squid, Chicken Gyoza, Homemade Duck Rolls and Salted Duck Kueh Pie Tee.

To start with my guest went with the Wu Xiang Ru and I had the Black Pepper Prawns. They were absolutely delicious and definitely ones that we’d both recommend. There are vegetarian and vegan options available though so Straits Kitchen definitely have you covered.

While enjoying our starters we were treated to a small sample of the soft shell crab dish as our waiter noticed us eyeing off another diners dish. This is a dish I’m definitely coming back to try the full size of its it was phenomenal. It will be an extra cost to your meal but please do try it for yourself. Words don’t do this dish just on how nice it was.

For mains, guests can choose a selection of Crispy Pork Belly, Roasted Duck, Roasted Soya Chicken, Barbeque Pork and a vegan option of Soya Braised Mushroom & Spinach. Main courses are accompanied by Stir Fried Noodles or Fried Rice, Pak Choi, Choy Sum or Thai SaladOf course we tried a bit of everything and the duck and chicken dishes were a top choice. My friend throughly enjoyed the barbecue pork.

By dessert, we were pretty full but we couldn’t pass on the show-stopping Summer dessert buffet created by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, Cherish Finden. I have had the pleasure of sampling Cherish’s afternoon tea creations at the Pan Pacific previously and knew to expect nothing but the same quality and delicious taste. The buffet allows guests to sample an array of desserts which really showcase Cherish’s impressive classical pastry techniques.

The Summer Sunday Roast at Straits Kitchen is a memorable, spoiling experience, not to be missed this summer. We throughly enjoyed being in the beautiful surroundings, with great company and impeccable  service. We are positive you will too.
