Celebrate Thanksgiving in London with American food and fun!

The American holiday of Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In 2014 it falls on 27 November.

Some of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants around London are serving a Thanksgiving menu with variations on the turkey, pumpkin, pecans and maple syrup themes. At Maze Grill, they are serving up a three course menu, including roast pumpkin soup with garlic croutons, roast turkey with smoked pork stuffing, honey roast parsnips and cranberry sauce, and apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. A casual, football on TV location in London. Clam chowder or a pulled pork quesadilla are among the starters and and ribs, chicken and pulled pork for mains. They haven’t posted a  Thanksgiving menu yet but it’s usually a bargain.

Where there’s also live music from Dom Pipkin’s Mardi Gras Mambo line-up. Meanwhile, over at The Blues Kitchen in Camden, it’s The Untouchables and DJ Keb Darge with vintage rockabilly and surf rock sounds. The perfect accompaniment to a feast of chicken stew, New Orleans gumbo, turkey, ham and pumpkin pie.

Goat mulled wine

27th November. Here you will find a cosy retreat where you can escape the winter chill and enjoy the comfort of a Thanksgiving dinner. On the menu, expect authentic Southern style Cornbread along with a choice of starters from Bacon and sweetcorn chowder, Pomegranate and arugula (rocket) salad or a seasonal Pear, toasted hazelnut, cranberry and red onion salad on a bed of spinach.

As always, the Maple roasted turkey is bound to steal the show but there is a fantastic Nut roast on offer for vegetarians. This will be served amongst an abundance of sides including roasted Brussels sprouts with Cranberry brown butter and Sausage, fennel and pine nut stuffing.

Last, but certainly not least, will be the show stopping desserts where you will have the choice between the ultimate Pumpkin pie, Bourbon and chocolate pecan pie or Goat’s infamous Blueberry and vanilla Cheesecake. Goat’s very own cocktail maestro, Steve Manktelow, will be creating a delicious mulled wine cocktail to be served alongside this fantastic feast!
