The Pickled Hen – Chick It Out

mh_lonma_pickledhen02
Whilst the chicken and the egg continue to battle it out for first-born bragging rights, The Pickled Hen has done a significantly better job of announcing it’s arrival. The restaurant is the latest addition to Marylebone’s dining scene and is situated on trendy George Street.

The Pickled Hen has thrown open its doors to diners this week, offering a food menu with a femented twist – sending Londoners into quite a pickle. The eatery serves quirky dishes and experimental cocktails, a refreshing change to the fancy fare commonly found in Marylebone village. The Pickleback’ signature cocktail combines a shot of whisky with a pickle juice chaser, while the food menu includes dishes such as Crispy chicken scratchings and a ‘Pickled Hen’ dish featuring whole slow roasted chicken complemented by a variety of award-winning relishes. For desert, diners can indulge their inner child and march away happy after enjoying ‘Eggs and Soldiers’ – a sweet twist on the British classic.

Early risers are able to select dishes from the restaurant’s ‘Grab n Go’ breakfast station, which offers snacks deigned to enjoy on the run.

The restaurant’s interior is cosy and rustic with contemporary table settings and quirky lighting. Diners can expect a buzzy gastro-pub atmosphere as the large space caters for up to 150.
