THE REAL GREEK LAUNCHES AUTHENTIC AT-HOME AEGEAN STREET FOOD WITH DIY SOUVLAKI KITS

 Here at Onin.London, we are really missing eating out! Thankfully restaurants like The Real Greek have us covered!

The Real Greek (www.therealgreek.com), the UK’s only group of authentic Greek restaurants, is allowing Brits to enjoy authentic Aegean street food in the comfort of their own homes with the launch of its DIY Souvlaki Kits, delivered direct to your door. We were excited to receive ours this week and couldn’t wait to try make Souvlaki at home!   

The kits are available nationwide through a proud collaboration with Great Food 2U(www.greatfood2u.co.uk). There are two to choose from: a succulent Chicken Souvlaki for two priced at £14.00 and a savoury Halloumi Souvlaki for two priced at £13.50 (plus delivery charges).

We choose the Halloumi one and couldn’t be more impressed. To the point I wished I hadn’t shared one with my house mate! They were that good!!! The kits are easy to cook and put together so it was a quick and simple way of making lunch fresh and hot! We chose to follow The Real Greek’s tip of adding hot chips in the wrap and it was it was absolutely amazing!

The kits make an exciting date-night activity, a birthday gift for someone who loves Greece and its food, a yummy Christmas gift to a loved one or a fun family dinner, where the children can make their own wrap. Perfect for those who haven’t been able to travel and want to recreate a trip to the Aegean at home.
