Truffle Burger Opens in Marylebone

Acclaimed burger joint Truffle Burger opened their newest venue, located in Marylebone.

Truffle Burger prides itself on being a place where the legendary truffle can be enjoyed simply, creatively and accessibly in indulgent and cheeky dishes. With roots in street food and inspired by world cuisine, Truffle Burger’s aim is to elevate the burger from something quick to something to be enjoyed without compromising on quality. Whether it’s truffle mayonnaise, truffle sauce or truffle honey, something truffle is connected to each burger and side.

We tried the the signature truffle burger made using 90 day-aged rare-breed British beef, melted raclette cheese, home made fig jam, crispy onion, black truffle mayonnaise and hand-made demi brioche buns. This typically has bacon in it but it was served without bacon to cater to the customers that evening. The crispy onions added texture and the fig jam provided sweetness. Overall a juicy decent burger.

Our favourite was the Truffle honey chicken burger, which is also Truffle Burger’s best seller. Made using twice coated buttermilk chicken thigh with truffle honey and whipped goats cheese, it was crispy and sweet.

The truffle and Parmesan fries were a touch too greasy for our tastes, and we would have preferred slightly more crispy fries. We loved the BBQ chicken bites which were succulent and tangy. For desert with had Nan’s brioche bread and butter pudding. This featured white chocolate, chocolate and raspberry and was served with whipped cream. We feel adding some ice cream would have made it an even greater desert.

Although we only tried two of the burgers on offer, there are a range of burgers available in the different Truffle Burger venues including cheese burgers, truffle butter burger, veggie truffle burgers and a truffalo chicken burger.

As well as the new Marylebone location, Truffle Burger has venues in Soho, Śeven Dials Market, Liverpool Street, South Bank and Stoke Newington. The Marylebone venue was small but welcoming and friendly. It was great to see hooks for coats and bags especially on a rainy night.

The burger prices range from £10.30 to £11.35 and fries from £4.20.

Overall a decent juicy burger joint in London for those times when you want something quick and easy but without the fast-food vibe.
