Wanderlust, the awesome team that are behind the largest yoga lifestyle events in the world, will be returning with their infamous healthy hedonism festival this July, bringing the event to Battersea Park on 27th July 2019.
Over 4,000 mindful seekers will be joining the occasion, which promises an impressive list of wellness activities, running alongside live music and DJs, artisanal vendors nd the main activity of the show, the mindful triathlon; a 5k run or walk (led by Twice the Health), 30-minute intention setting (led by Naomi Absalom), DJ-powered 90-minute outdoor yoga class presented by YogiBare (hosted by Katarina Rayburn, Mona Lisa Godfrey; alongside Ida May and Jonelle Lewis, with Tom Middleton on the decks), and a 30-minute guided meditation (led by Light Watkins with Tracie Storey creating the soundscape).
Known for their international appeal, Wanderlust has also confirmed UK based teachers on the main stage to create a stronger UK voice within the global yoga events landscape. Known for their love of innovation in wellness, they have also now revealed the Uncommons schedule, which plays host to a wide choice of bonus activities including psychoacoustic electronic soundscapes with guided breathwork, acro-yoga, aerial yoga, guided meditation, women’s circle, sound healing, reiki drumming, indo boards, hula-hooping, slacklining, mindful art sessions, topical talks, essential oil workshops and more.
With all of these exciting activities you are bound to work up an appetite, and you will be very well catered for; Local and organic food vendors include the return of The True North Café offering both sweet and savoury choices and the option to pre-order Wanderlust’s signature picnic lunch, the legendary Wanderbowl by Pollen & Grace. Other local food and beverage options include Circus Bros, Norty, Pop Up Greek, Hippie Turks, Darlish Ice Cream, Spiers Salads, OmNom, Pollen & Grace, Unstabled, Beans and Bites Coffee, Jonas Coffee and Cacao Clan. OmNom will be bringing their innovative Superfood Burger, a delicious Barbecue Jackfruit Pizza, soft Tacos with Black Bean Chipotle and a flavour-packed Indian Thali. They’ll be serving up throughout the festival adding plenty of NOM to your OM. In addition to serving delicious and nourishing food, OmNom and Niti Sheth, an Ayurvedic therapist, will be hosting dosha testing for those who want to find their path to energy balance.
This year the collective have announced they will be joining (RED) in the fight to end AIDS. For every Wanderlust 108 ticket sold, £1.08 will be donated to The Global Fund to fight AIDS with (RED), which could provide 3+ days of live-saving HIV medication.
