100 Wardour St Internation Women’s Day Event Review

IMG_2659

In celebration of International Women’s Day on the 8rh of March 100 Wardour St hosted a special Gatsby Burlesque performance from the Gatsby Burlesque Dancers. The event kicked of 8pm with dancers descending upon the crowd before the show started around 8.45pm. The costumes were fabulous and we had a lot of fun watching the girls on stage. However, the show was more cabaret than burlesque.

While watching the show we were treated to bubbles, wine and a three course dinner. I chose the Smoked Duck Breast with Celeriac & Apple Remoulade for my starter, the Grilled Scottish Salmon Fillet with Vegetables a La Grec for my main and the Chocolate Brownie for dessert. Dessert was definitely the best course of the evening as the Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownie absolutely just melted in your mouth.

My Salmon was pretty special as well though the Vegetables a La Grec were not to my liking. Though this is no fault of the chef, just my dislike of vinegar. My friend chose the Calamari and the Pork Belly.

IMG_2686After the energetic dancing from the girls, Izzy and her band, The Izzy Quartet took to the stage. She was amazing and we disappointed we had to leave early to catch our train home. I adore 100 Wardour Street as it is such an iconic venue and has such incredibly stunning décor. Make sure you visit on one of the special themed music nights as you won’t be disappointed.
