Bourne and Hollingsworth – New Year’s Eve Dark Circus Party Review
Since starting to write for ONIN London, I’ve gone to a few of Bourne and Hollingsworth events and parties. They’re the ones I rave about to my friends. Prohibition… The Chap Olympiad… Cooking Classes in the Kitchen – Every single event is on point and I have had the best time. With this in mind, I knew there was nowhere else I wanted to spend my New Year’s Eve than at B&H’s Dark Circus Party.
Wearing a tutu, leotard, fishnets and covered in glitter – I definitely lived up to the dress code that was required. Standing out at first as we were one of the first few to arrive, we soon blended into the crowd who took the Dark Circus theme to hear
t. Ringmasters, lions and other carnal costumes adorned the crowd who were all there to have fun, enjoy delicious cocktails and be wowed by the entertainment of the night. The Dark Circus Party promised to be a night filled with debauchery, wonder, fantastic performances and intrigue. And it certainly delivered.
Every 15 to 20 minutes until midnight, the crowd were entertained with sensual and hypnotic circus acts that astounded and amazed. The timings of the different tantalising acts was done extremely well to allow guests to mingle and get new drinks before once again being wow’d by the acts on stage.
The cocktails at any B&H event are always going to be amazing, however, my friend couldn’t stop raving about the Tequila Expresso Cocktail. A unique twist on the classic Expresso Martini. I myself loved the Rebourne, a Elderflower and Gin based cocktail that was super refreshing and had a nice little kick to it.
After the clock struck midnight and we welcomed in 2017 in style, a band brought the party into full swing. By midnight I was starving though, so I can’t thank whoever came up with the idea of a burger stand because the sweet potato burger was just what I needed.
Overall, B&H’s Dark Circus Party was an amazing experience and a fantastic way to bring in the New Year. The next event in 2017 is yet to be released, but when it does make sure you get your tickets. You won’t regret it.
