CAFÉ DE PARIS MOST IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE: DISCO54

Hands down we experienced the best night we have EVER EVER had in London! Café de Paris has launched its latestconcept Disco54 – a new immersive dining and late-night party inspired by the iconic Studio 54. Studio 54, which electrified New York’s nightlife in the 1970s and 1980s, was renowned for its debauchery and legendary parties, and boasted visits from the likes of Andy Warhol, Elton John and Cher – Disco54 promises to deliver the same memorability and unconventionality as the infamous New York hotspot.

Our night started with a cute disco themed welcome cocktail, it was the perfect entry drink for what was about to be an amazing night. We opted for the dining experience and thoroughly enjoyed the three-course menu. For starters we were treated to a sharing platter of beef brochettes with chimichurri dip, chicken satay skewers, seared sesame tuna with a pickled ginger and wasabi cream, sweet pepper parcel and mini wild mushroom and parmesan tarts. The starters were absolutely divine, being a sushi lover my favourite was the seared sesame tuna, I even asked for more it was that good.

We were absolutely spoilt for choice with the mains, the menu is unbelievable and for £25 per person on a Friday and £30 on a Saturday it was very affordable. My friend opted for the Southern fried chicken burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, blue cheese sauce, sweet chilli relish and fries… It tasted just as amazing as it sounds. I had the sirloin steak with roast tomato, grilled mushroom and fires. It was the tastiest steak I have had in a while and the peppercorn sauce was to die for. For our desserts we were treated to a sharing doughnut board, warm mini doughnuts with a Nutella glaze, salted caramel and black cherry dipping sauce. The doughnuts threw me back to family trips in Clacton on Sea.

The showcase was unstoppable, our hostess had the most amazing voice, not only was he stunning in his silver disco frock, but his eye makeup had me reaching for my Mac makeup bag. We were kept entertained by pole dancers, aerialists, dancers, a hula-hoop act and the coolest contortionist I have seen in a while. All whilst singing and dancing to some of the best disco tunes that that the DJ dug up. It was like being in the middle of disco era with all the joy and free spirited fun that comes along with it. The venue has recruited London’s best creatives and performers to bring the disco concept to life each Friday and Saturday night. As well as a team of 40 performers, singers, actors, hosts and DJs the venue transforms the space with striking design features, including an installation of 54 disco mirror balls and themed karaoke rooms all set to the soundtrack of best loved disco and party anthems. What made it even better is that afterwards the venue turned into a night club, so we continued to party until the early hours of the morning, listening some of London’s hottest DJs.

If you are looking for one of the best nights in London, you need to make sure you head down to Café de Paris, any written review or video will not do justice what an amazing night it is.
