Cafe Wolseley – Bicester Village Review

When I fancy a designer shopping trip splurge, the place that comes to mind is Bicester village. The designer outlet has over 100 boutiques, offering up to 60% off the RRP price, so you can see why this is the first place that springs to mind when I’m thinking of buying a new designer handbag…

Bicester village also has some nice eateries. I was booked in at The Wolseley, where they offer up a good range of classic British dishes. In celebration of its first year of opening, Café Wolseley is now the first and only Corbin & King restaurant to serve pizza!

For starters I went for the Severn & Wye Oak-Smoked Salmon, which was plated beautifully with bread on the side. It was good quality and fresh salmon, which I enjoyed immensely. I was also pleased with how much Salmon I was served, it was a good size portion, just the thing to whet my appetite.

For my main I opted for the Tagliatelle with king prawns, tomato and chilli, it was a generous sized portion and again presented beautifully. The pasta dish was flavoursome and the king prawns were succulent, I was pretty dame happy with my choice!

For dessert I opted for the Summer fruit crumble with custard. I have to admit I was looking forward to this dessert ever since I first laid my eyes on the menu when I sat down. And I can proudly say it didn’t disappoint, a fruity and sweet dessert which tasted heavenly. I would have happily ordered another one if I had the room. Throughout our dining experience we were well looked after, our waitress was friendly and catered to all our needs.

After lunch we hit the shops and yes I did splurge quite a bit, and it was worth every penny! Dinning in at The Wolseley was such a treat, I do highly recommend you book in advance, it was pretty busy when we arrived for lunch, and in the busy season it will be even more crowded. So make sure you bag a table by phoning ahead… you won’t be disappointed.
