CAVAN BAKERY CELEBRATES SOURDOUGH SEPTEMBER WITH LIMITED EDITION SOURDOUGH

Bakery partners with Battersea based Brewery to create Ale inspired loaf.

Founded in 1929 in Twickenham, Cavan Bakery has grown from a small family bakery to a group of
13 bakery shops across Southwest London and Surrey plus a riverside café.

This September Cavan Bakery will be creating a limited-edition Sourdough called ‘Little Victories’, an Ale inspired loaf created by Cavan Bakery in collaboration with Mondo Brewery, a craft brewery based in Battersea.

On sale at the popular Cavan Bakery site,Wimbledon Park on 22nd and 23rdSeptember, the Ale inspired loaf will be infused with Mondo’s Little Victories Ale and will be priced at £3.95. You can expect the Little Victories beer to have the hop character and aroma expected from an old school IPA but with a lower ABV. As an ale it’s extra pale in colour and is easy drinking with a lovely citrus aroma and a light bitterness.

Jeff Greenall, Chairman of Cavan Bakery, says:“Cavan Bakery celebrates Sourdough September every year, since our signature bread – and our most popular – is our Sourdough range. We wanted to work closely with a local craft brewery which shares our values to create a bespoke loaf to mark Sourdough September. We really hope customers will enjoy our limited-edition Little Victories Sourdough and are delighted to have the opportunity to work with a fantastic Brewery like Mondo.”

Cavan Bakery are part of the Real Bread Campaign, which gives the seal of approval to genuine sourdoughs and other artisan breads made withoutadditives and artificial ingredients.
