Celebrating Sake Season with Ginza Onodera

Onodera[1]

On 19th October, premium Japanese restaurant Ginza Onodera will be celebrating sake making season by hosting the first in a series of exclusive five-course dinners, in collaboration with World Sake Imports. The dinners will feature a curated range of signature dishes perfectly paired with a bold selection of rare premium sakes.

The sake dinner menu will kick off with an appetiser of Salmon tataki with umemizore sauce, seasonal herbs and pickled myoga. Next, a selection of sushi will be served, followed by Black cod Saikyo yaki and Black Angus sirloin. The accompanying sake menu will include the highly acclaimed Tsuyusanzen Nama Daiginjo, of which there are just 24 bottles imported to London a year. Each course will be introduced by Head Sommelier Angelo Lorea and World Sake Imports Managing Director Asami Tasaka, to highlight key tasting notes of the various sakes which are rarely seen in London.

At the end of the evening, diners will have the opportunity to purchase the sampled sakes by the bottle at a discounted price. Ginza Onodera will also be offering a limited number of bottles of Tsuyusanzen Nama Daiginjo to a silent auction, giving diners the opportunity to bid for one of the remaining bottles available in London.

The dinner is priced at £120.00 per person, which includes five courses, four sakes and green tea to finish. Tickets are limited and available to book over the phone – 020 7839 1101
